With the Powerliner, Mercedes-Benz Trucks will introduce a new generation of conventional drivetrains. Enhanced OM 470 and OM 471 engines, together with matching transmissions and axles, can reduce fuel consumption by up to four percent compared with a comparably equipped predecessor vehicle. At the same time, power output and torque have been increased. The OM 471 delivers up to 550 hp and 2,800 Nm in its most powerful version. A consistent downspeeding approach with lower engine speeds is designed to further reduce fuel consumption and noise levels, while gear-shifting and maneuvering characteristics have also been optimized. The new drivetrain generation complies with the Euro VIe emissions standard, takes new noise regulations into account and has been conceptually prepared for Euro 7 requirements. The new engines will also be used by Daimler Buses, creating a shared technical platform for trucks and buses.

What is required to watch a livestream?

The live stream jerks or stops!
Make sure that no other processes with intensive Internet use (e.g. file download) are active. Also check whether your Internet connection is fast enough - we recommend a transfer speed of approx. 6,000 Kbit/second.
